‘AUTUMN SHOW SHUFFLE’ – It’s Time!

Our quarterly update on new, closing, and relocating shows, with Alexis Park Resort doing most of the heavy lifting...

It’s time! It’s time! All you witches, all you goblins, gather around and watch the Magic Pumpkin. Discover where the newest shows are opening, which have moved to another location, and find out if any have gone the way of a week-old jack-o-lantern. It’s the Autumn Show Shuffle.

Openings

The “Godfather of Shock Rock” comes to Las Vegas with SCHOOL’S OUT – The Alice Cooper Tribute Show. Portrayed by Johnny Blade, the venerable Alice Cooper rose to fame with hits like “Poison”, “No More Mister Nice Guy”, and of course, the title song.

Fans of John Carpenter may remember Cooper’s horrific role as a lethal presence in 1987’s PRINCE OF DARKNESS. His gut-wrenching “Murder By Bicycle” scene is iconic, as are his onstage antics…played to perfection by Blade.

“From the moment the curtain rises, audiences are taken on a high-voltage ride through rebellion, theatrics, and pure rock and roll power. Whether you’re a lifelong Alice Cooper fan or crave the intensity of heavy metal live, this show promises an unforgettable night where the music is loud, the energy is wild, and the school bell never rings again.”

SCHOOL’S OUT: The Alice Cooper Tribute Show plays Thursday through Saturday at 10 pm. It’s located at the Pegasus Showroom at Alexis Park Resort. Tickets start at $44.95 and can be ordered here.

BELLBOTTOMS joins the Alexis Park Resort line-up beginning next week. Feel-good music of the seventies returns in all its glory, thanks to the talents of Traysee Jill and producer Matt Mitchell. Also performing in the Pegasus Showroom, the production is scheduled for Wednesdays at 7 pm and Fridays at 9 pm, beginning October 15th. Get tickets here.

“BELLBOTTOMS brings together the best of Fleetwood Mac, Heart, ABBA, and other legendary artists for an unforgettable night of live music, retro fashion, and disco-era fun. From soaring rock anthems to infectious dance hits, BELLBOTTOMS delivers spot-on renditions of the songs that defined a generation. Some of Vegas’s most talented musicians and singers capture the spirit of the decade when sequins and disco balls ruled the stage.”

Great music never dies. It just evolves into a Las Vegas tribute band. The latest on the Strip is SIN CITY STONES, a Rolling Stones salute at Horseshoe Hotel Casino. It joins X ROCKS Burlesque in the reopened “Back Room”, once home to Miss Behave Gameshow and LIAISON gay nightclub.

The SIN CITY STONES perform Thursdays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm. Tickets are priced at $37.50 and up. Get yours here.

ON THE MOVE

After a brief summer run at Ahern Boutique Hotel, SIR ELTON – AT THE PIANO moves into a permanent time slot at Alexis Park Resort (yes, them again) this month. The 70-minute show will play Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30 pm. Featured star Jeff Burkett announced the news via his social media on October 4th:

“Starting wave 2 – Las Vegas residency at The Modern Showrooms at Alexis Park Resort Hotel, debuting on October 13th. Tickets available at sirelton.com. See you there! 🔥🎹🎤🎵🎶🔥

MOTOWN BRUNCH is another crowd-pleaser that left the Ahern Hotel (must be some behind-the-scenes intrigue) for supposedly greener pastures. The mid-morning musical production is scheduled for Sundays at 11 am beginning October 12th. Their new location is the poolside Alexis Gardens Restaurant at 375 East Harmon Avenue inside….you guessed it…Alexis Park Resort. Get tickets here.

Alexis Gardens Restaurant launches MOTOWN BRUNCH on October 12th

SINATRA LIVE! featuring Michael Sinatra continues on the Ahern Showroom schedule, along with Adam London’s LAUGHTERNOON. It remains to be seen if either or both of those join the exodus to Alexis Park Resort. We’ll let you know if we learn more.

CLOSINGS

On the morning of September 23rd, VEGAS 411 received notification that Terry Fator’s performance twelve hours later would be his swan song. It was no secret that sales for his STRAT Showroom residency were soft. Blame the economy, location, changing tastes…whatever you wish. But it was time for Fator to move on.
