Photo by SPA AQUAE In part two of this series, I visited the second-floor treatment rooms of SPA AQUAE at JW Marriott Las Vegas. After a light lunch, it was back to see the facility's newly reopened GENTLEMEN'S TONIC Barbershop. The lean, striking shop is named after a London-based concept that began in 2004. After experiencing the quality of products and services at SPA AQUAE, it's not surprising that they'd partner with a company on the level of GENTLEMEN'S TONIC:

As luck would have it, my visit coincided with the first day of their new resident barber. His name is Timothy "Trim" Stephens. Trim was, like so many, looking to reinvent himself after the pandemic shutdown. In a leap of faith, he left a sales job in Orlando and drove to Las Vegas to enroll in barber school.

"Big Al" lost his life during a violent crime, and Trim decided to continue his father's legacy. In addition to being a barber, he's licensed to perform scalp micropigmentation, a trending procedure to help with thinning hair. Trim also plans to earn the distinctive title of "Master Barber" in the near future.

Much like my visit to Gaetano Fashion for a custom-fitted suit, GENTLEMAN'S TONIC Barbershop is very much a "guy thing". You're likely to find a sports network playing on the screen, and you're welcome to enjoy your favorite libations from the nearby casino bar.
