Las Vegas Raiders running back Joshua Jacobs returned from injury last Sunday, and while he wasn't able to help get them a win, he did score the team's only touchdown during the game. It all happened at the one-yard line, where Jacobs could punch it in to give the Raiders nine points. It would have been 11 if Derek Carr had converted the two-point conversion, but he was sacked on the next play. It was nice to have Jacobs back in action, though, and his tenacity could be the one shining light the Raiders have now.
The Raiders are going to need that light after losing both their last two games and their head coach, Jon Gruden, who resigned after controversial comments of his were released last week. Whether this is still a playoff team remains to be seen and will depend on what the organization can do from here, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of positive momentum anymore.
