NASCAR has reinstated Noah Gragson after liking a racially insensitive meme on Twitter. The Las Vegas native has since asked for his release from Legacy Motorsports and is now eligible to compete if he can find a ride in the last seven races.

"I want to express my sincere gratitude to NASCAR for reinstating me," Gragson said. "Over the past several weeks, I have dedicated myself to personal growth and reflection, and I believe I have become a better person because of it... I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family and the NASCAR industry.

Gragson is probably looking to get behind the wheel again this season, but the task seems daunting. He is currently without a full-time ride and has no known deals at this point.

Everyone is talking about the Las Vegas Raiders, and for good reason. The Raiders defeated the Denver Broncos in week 1 of the NFL schedule, earning their first 1-0 start in years. The victory has many wondering if this is a new Raiders team and how far they can go.

Raiders fans took part in an online poll on SB Nation, and the results show that 79% believe Jimmy Garoppolo will lead the team to the playoffs. That’s a tall order for a team that went 6-11 last year under Josh McDaniels, but many fans believe Garoppolo will make the difference.

The Las Vegas Aces are now heading to the second round of the WNBA playoffs after dominating the Chicago Sky in a three-game series. The Aces took their first win on Wednesday, outscoring their opponent 87-59. The effort was led by Chelsea Gray, who totaled 20 points, seven assists and four rebounds.

Kiah Stokes also helped the Aces by bringing down 15 rebounds and two points. A’ja Wilson also contributed with 14 points, one assist, and eight rebounds of her own. Fast Forward to the second game on Sunday, and Las Vegas finished the series with a 92-70 blowout victory!

A’ja Wilson led with 38 points and a monstrous 18 rebounds. Chelsea Grey helped out, too, with nine points and nine assists. They move on to face the winner of Atlanta Dream vs. Dallas Wings. The Wings currently lead the series 1-0 and could spell trouble for the Aces if unchecked.

#2 Injury bug hits the Las Vegas Raiders hard after week two

[caption id="attachment_37644" align="alignnone" width="900"]Las Vegas, Source. YouTube[/caption]

The  Raiders have lost several of their top players to injuries, and that trend continued in week two. Davante Adams is now in concussion protocol after taking a gruesome hit in the closing quarter of the game. This is only one week after virtually the same thing happened to Jakobi Meyers against the Broncos.

Jimmy Garoppolo sat out of practice last week due to his foot injury but still played against the Buffalo Bills. Another problem is Chandler Jones, who remains at odds with the team over private information he leaked on social media. Jones claimed in a recent tweet that he wishes the Raiders team owner would reveal the real reason he can’t play.

#1 Las Vegas Raiders lose to the Buffalo Bills

Sadly, the Las Vegas Raiders are 1-1 after a blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Jimmy Garoppolo completed 16 of 24 passes for 185 yards, one touchdown, and two costly interceptions. Another big problem is the defense, which gave up 38 points in the loss. This includes 17 unanswered points in the second half.

The Raiders gave up 267 passing yards and 183 rushing yards on Sunday against the Bills. Buffalo also managed 29 first downs throughout the game, pushing the defense down the field all day long. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the Las Vegas defense even gave up three fourth-down conversions against New York.

Joshua Jacobs also contributed nine carries for negative two yards in his worst effort in a long time. The worst part of the loss is the fact that Davante Adams went down with a concussion injury late in the game, leaving the Raiders without a critical weapon next week. They now face the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday night on NBC.
