Forget the Strip. Hang Out at Las Vegas Dive Bars

There's no better place to get drunk than a Vegas dive bar. There are luxury bars and speakeasies on the Strip if you need class and $17 cocktails. If you need pocket-friendly alcohol and fun, here are a few Las Vegas dive bars :

Four Kegs Sports Pub

Four Kegs Sports Pub is a community gathering spot that has served patrons food and drinks for over 43 years. It's trendy for the Stromboli and pizza selections. Additionally, they welcome families and children in the backroom and sponsor two local softball and soccer teams, making them unique among dive bars.

Nestled in the middle of downtown Las Vegas, Atomic Liquors prides itself on being one of the oldest bars in the city. It opened in 1952. Over the years, it has become a hub for tourists and locals who love the atmosphere.

It has a great patio, an impressive liquor selection of 20 rotating draft beers, and serves elevated bar food. Due to its rich history, it hosted parties and celebrations with celebrities such as Rat Pack, Barbara Streisand, Hunter S. Thompson, and Clint Eastwood in attendance.

Dino’s Lounge is a perfect dive bar that has been open since 1962, a testament to the service.

It's popular among neighborhood regulars and downtown hipsters. Its doors are always open, so you can meet your drinking needs anytime. Karaoke nights are jam-packed, with every guest trying to show off. There are also pool tables to keep you entertained - a must at any good Vegas dive bar.

Jon Taffer, the host of Bar Rescue, entered  Champagne Cafe nine years ago and remarked that it was frozen in time. He tried to modernize it, but almost a decade later, the place still retains its old look with a frame of Marilyn Monroe and a velvet wall welcoming patrons. The bar boasts a rich history, including hosting celebrity patron Rat Pack and former Mobster Frank Cullota. Its nightly drink special remains the biggest attraction, though.

The Dive Bar

Decorated with plenty of stickers and graffiti on its walls, the dark, dingy, 24/7 Dive Bar Las Vegas illustrates true dive bar culture. It's the perfect spot if you want to grab a beer and jam out to live punk, grunge, and metal music. Note that live music is available every night except Mondays, which are dedicated to comedy performances.
