Wild rumors and a little bit of truth
Fact: WWE looking at holding WrestleMania in Las Vegas
According to Dave Meltzer of the Pro Wrestling Observor, Las Vegas is supposedly one of the spots being considered to host a WrestleMania in the upcoming years. However, WWE eventually decided on hosting the next two WrestleMania's in Hollywood California, and in Arlington Texas. Vegas won't get another hosting opportunity until WrestleMania 40 in 2024. On the positive side though, it might be one of the most attractive options left.
Everyone expected Los Angeles to be this year, and they moved it, and then it was gonna be Las Vegas," Dave Meltzer
explained earlier this year. "Maybe Vegas will get the year after.
Unknown: Kurt Busch retiring at the end of the season
While we here at Vegas411 try to answer the hard questions for you, this decision is still very much up in the air. Of course, Busch has made it clear that he would like to continue racing if a ride was still available for him, but who knows if that will happen. There's a youth movement in NASCAR, and Kurt Busch is just north of 50 years old. He also has a championship, a Daytona 500 victory, and some of the best moments in the sport's history to be proud of.
With that being said, Busch will likely be out in 2021. Now, that doesn't mean he can't sign with another team, but that will depend on him bringing a sponsorship with him.
Fiction: Robin Lehner relapsing .
It's no secret that Las Vegas Golden Knights goalie, Robin Lehner, has battled mental health and substance abuse issues throughout his career, but he finally got the help he needed during the 2018 season. Since then, Lehner has been sober and really has become a completely different person. His numbers were better, he was super reliable, and he could even shut out opponents on occasion. Unfortunately, a concussion injury earlier in the season forced him out for a sizable chunk of time, which led to the idea that he had relapsed.
That's right! The media hounded Lehner and his family relentlessly, forcing the man to come out and explain that he was suffering from a concussion.
Fiction: The Las Vegas Golden Knights wanting to trade away a goalie
The Las Vegas Golden Knights are paying quite a bit of money for their current goalie rotation of Marc Andre Fleury and Robin Lehner, which is why many thought that the team would unload one of them during the offseason. Interestingly enough, that didn't end up happening, leading the tandem to become one of the best rotations in the entire NHL.
Still, the extra money they're paying for the two could be used to bolster the offense. That's why this rumor seemed so real.
Fiction: Raiders trading for Deshaun Watson
Remember when pundits everywhere were saying either Derek Carr or Marcus Mariota would be traded in favor of Deshaun Watson? While that seems like forever ago, especially with Watson's off-field woes continuing to come back to haunt him, it was an idea mostly perpetrated by insiders and the media.
It's so interesting how a short period of time can change so many things. Think about it! The Las Vegas Raiders fanbase has been going wild over rumors of who would be leaving during the offseason, only for neither of the quarterbacks to part ways with the team. Marcus Mariota even took an eight-million-dollar pay cut to stay with the team.
