These are the kind of games that prove just how good the Las Vegas Golden Knights are as a team.
#5 Opening game agaisnt the Anaheim Ducks
There's nothing like the opening game of the season, and the
Las Vegas Knights were looking to come out of the gate swinging. Fortunately for the team, an early goal by Jonathon Marchessault paved the way for a 5-2 victory over the Ducks.  Mark Stone, Tomas Nosek, Max Pacioretty and Alex Tuch all contributed to the win, giving fans a taste of what exactly they would see from this star-studded team this season.
#4 Shutting out the Coyotes
A shutout might not sound like a very exciting game, especially against an opponent like the Coyotes, but it showed just how much better the Golden Knights were than the rest of their division. In fact, between  William Karlsson scoring the lone goal of the game, and  Marc Andre Fleury fending off 16 attempted shots at the goal, it was truly one of their better showings of the season. It was also a show of defensive strength, which could very well carry them deep into the 2021 NHL playoffs. It might even be enough to take them to the Stanley Cup Finals
#3 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings
It's no secret that Marc Andre Fleury is a total best when he wants to be and he put that on full display during a 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings earlier this year. While Fleury did give up two goals during the game against their conference rival, he also fended off  27 shots that came his way. This would give him a .937 save percentage, and even started to raise questions about whether Andre Fluery was starting to get his spark back as a goalie.
As for the offensive side of the puck, Nicolas Hague, William Karlson, Jonathon Marchessault, Mark Stone, and Cody Glass all contributed goals for the eventual victory. If nothing else, this game really showed just how versatile the Golden Knights offense can be, and how they can just overwhelm the opposing team. The only caveat to this game was Max Pacioretty, who made seven shots on the opposing team's goalie but couldn't get anything in the net.
#2 Shutting out the Colorado Avalanche
30 shots came Marc Andre Fleury's way during the February 14th  game between the Golden Knights and the Colorado Avalance, but he stopped every single one of them dead in their tracks.  Not only did this serve as another example of just how good the Golden Knights goalie rotation is this year, but it also highlighted just how much better the team was than another division rival. Of course, you could argue that Vegas has lost a few key games as well, but they still sit atop their division. They also still stand as favorites to make it to the playoffs.
Max Pacioretty scored the only goal of the evening, but that was all that was needed to lift the Golden Knights past the Avalanche in their second shutout game of the 2021 season.
#1 5-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild
What better way to end a list of best games of the season than a 5-1 blowout against the Minnesota Wild? Seriously though, between Marc Andre Fleury only allowing one goal to touch the net and several players stepping up on offense, this had to be one of the best games of the entire season. It was yet another example of just how dominant the team could be on offense and just how hard it is to get a puck past Fleury during crunch time. If nothing else, let this game serve as a warning of what is possible when this team runs on all cylinders.
