From the Luxor and the Venetian to the grandiosity of the Bellagio, Vegas is teeming with popular and fun resorts, many of which are famous worldwide! Choosing the perfect hotel for your stay can be tricky with so many popular options, but some of the best are often the more underrated hotels in Las Vegas.
If you’re looking for a great hotel that isn’t charging just for the name but instead one that can offer great value for money and a fun-filled, welcoming stay, we can help. Here are five underrated gems ranging between small boutique hotels and fancy, upscale resorts.
1. Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino

 Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino[/caption]
Located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, mere steps from the popular Fremont Street Experience, the Downtown Grand is one of the most underrated hotels in Vegas!
Aside from its outstanding location, it also has a great range of on-site amenities, including several bars and restaurants, a nightclub, a comedy club, and, of course, a full casino. The Downtown Grand is even home to the largest pool deck in all of Downtown Las Vegas. The area features gorgeous views of the city’s skyline, a heated pool, a lazy river, and even a cabana bar!
2. Aria Resort and Casino

 ARIA Resort & Casino[/caption]
While Aria may be one of the more popular hotels on this list, it’s definitely not one of the most popular on the Strip, which is why we chose to include it. Despite its sought-after location, its huge competitors often overshadow it, with many choosing to stay at the nearby MGM or Bellagio instead.
This luxury resort is actually quite affordable considering its style and everything it offers, with a lovely casino and a range of great bars and fun nightlife.  You can also find immersive art experiences and museums, an on-site luxury mall, and fantastic restaurants, including Carbone, Julian Serrano Tapas, and Cathédrale Las Vegas.
The gorgeous, upmarket rooms at this resort all boast stunning city views from their floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as innovative, high-tech integrations, such as the one-touch room control system through which guests can easily customize room features such as lighting and temperature.
3. Vdara Vegas Hotel & Spa

Vdara Hotel & Spa Las Vegas[/caption]
Situated on the same CityCenter campus as the Aria is the gorgeous Vdara. An outlier amongst the others in Sin City, this hotel is unique in that it's non-smoking and doesn't have a casino! The lack of this Vegas staple may be off-putting to many visitors who come here to gamble, but it actually offers a calming respite from the action found in the many bustling casino hotels along the Strip.
Vdara Vegas takes the ‘relaxing retreat’ concept a whole lot further with its luxurious spa and a rooftop pool surrounded by gorgeous plunge pools. If you're hungry, check out the Market Cafe, a boutique grocery store and cafe where you can purchase fresh items, and the stunning Vice Versa Patio and Lounge, where you can grab a delicious cocktail.
This all-suite hotel boasts gorgeous rooms, each fitted with a 50-inch flat-screen TV, kitchenette, and dining area, providing the perfect space to retreat to at the end of a long day. It won't come cheap, however. Vdara is one of the most expensive hotels on the Strip.
4. The Cromwell Hotel

 Wyndham Hotels[/caption]
Arguably the finest boutique hotel in Las Vegas, The Cromwell offers a great, luxurious stay while being right in the middle of the action. Owned and operated by Caesars, it’s just a few minutes walk from the Forum Shops, making it a convenient spot for those who love the allure of Ceasars Palace but want to stay somewhere a little more low-key.
Despite being a slightly smaller, niche hotel rather than a large, sprawling resort, The Cromwell still has all the great amenities you’d expect from any hotel on your Vegas getaway. With a large pool area, casino, and the popular Drais nightclub (plus VIP line access for guests staying at the hotel), The Cromwell leaves little to be desired. There's also a high-profile restaurant operated by Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis.
Guest rooms have an upmarket feel and a decent amount of space.
5. The Lexi Las Vegas
The Lexi (previously known as the Artisan Boutique hotel) sits a couple of blocks from the northern end of Las Vegas Boulevard, just around the corner from the famous Battlefield Vegas.
This newly renovated, adults-only hotel offers an outdoor party pool, a restaurant, and occasional live entertainment at the cocktail lounge.
Are you into cannabis? There are a number of select 420 rooms at this hotel, which are cannabis-inclusive and offer an elevated stay with a state-of-the-art air filtration system called Restoair. Smoking weed at a regular hotel could lead to a hefty fine.
